We are seeking a Product Specialist QA III who will be responsible for testing and supporting business processes related to client operations. This role involves helping to plan, manage, and execute both major and minor software releases. You'll be analyzing, scheduling, and performing software testing, working with different technologies, and engaging in design reviews and requirement assessments. You'll also be part of the quality assurance process from the design stage through to the final release, collaborating with the development team early in the lifecycle to gather test cases and streamline the process.
You may also take on Business Analyst responsibilities within the scrum team when required.
Job Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive testing strategies, including automation plans.
- Mentor and guide other testers within the team.
- Create, maintain, and execute detailed test plans and cases based on user requirements, stories, and design specifications.
- Work with product and integration development teams to increase your knowledge of business systems and contribute to functional and regression testing, including automation.
- Validate and certify software changes, updates, and new features. Gain a deep understanding of business workflows and integration points to provide thorough end-to-end testing.
- Serve as the main QA contact during product releases, overseeing testing phases during agile sprints and before final release.
- Communicate testing progress and results with product owners, project managers, scrum masters, and technical teams.
- Follow the defined SDLC process and provide regular updates on test results to stakeholders.
- Lead defect review meetings and track bugs until resolution in QA, UAT, and production environments.
- Coordinate product testing timelines and report delays to leadership.
- Ensure test coverage and traceability by applying sound quality assurance methods.
- May collaborate with external associations to incorporate approved use cases into agile sprints and acceptance testing.
- Manage production verification efforts and work with business and IT teams to secure sign-offs.
- Help refine and develop QA standards and procedures.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Our ideal candidate will be able to work onsite in a hybrid work schedule and meet the following qualifications:
- A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 4-6 years of experience in software quality assurance or development, with at least 1 year in automation testing or developing enterprise-level applications.
- Expertise in system testing, integration testing, regression testing, end-to-end testing, and mobile device testing, especially in a leadership capacity.
- Experience in finance or accounting, particularly within a banking environment, is a plus.
- Deep understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and QA methodologies, with the ability to manage multiple projects and adapt to shifting priorities.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to follow written instructions.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills, with the ability to handle sensitive information discreetly and exercise sound judgment.
- Creativity and independence in problem-solving, with minimal supervision needed.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with automation tools and frameworks.
- Willingness to travel as needed and work well within a team setting.
In this role, you will also assist with the execution of both manual and automated tests, document results, and support the QA Manager in establishing best practices and procedures.
