We are seeking someone skilled as a data analyst who has experience in the insurance industry and can contribute to the organization using SQL and PowerBI.   This is a 6-month contract role that might offer the opportunity to convert.    This can be a remote role or if you are in Austin Texas you could work hybrid with the team.

Job Responsibilities

  • Transform and integrate data from different insurance agency sources to unified data model.
  • Analyze trends and create reports on underwriting, claims, and profitability.
  • Design and optimize data models for efficient queries and storage.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define key metrics.
  • Maintain data quality and governance frameworks.
  • Mentor junior analysts and lead projects.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 5+ years in data analysis, with insurance industry experience.
  • Proficient in SQL, Python, ETL tools (e.g., Matillion, DBT), and data visualization platforms (e.g., Power BI).
  • Expertise in insurance workflows, including policy, claims, and billing operations.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Preferred:

  • Experience with Duck Creek, actuarial modeling, and cloud-based data solutions.
