Job Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, cycles, and cases for multiple web applications, encompassing end-to-end, regression, functional, and smoke testing, as well as integrations with databases, APIs, and authorization systems.
- Create and maintain automated and manual tests using Selenium, Python 3, and Zephyr, with a focus on employing best practices and leveraging the Page Object Model Test Architecture.
- Establish and maintain testing frameworks, tools, and infrastructure to support our testing efforts, advocating for a culture of continuous testing.
- Mentor junior members of the QA team, fostering their growth and promoting knowledge sharing.
- Collaborate closely with product stakeholders and developers to ensure comprehensive test coverage aligns with requirements.
- Identify process and architecture inefficiencies, proactively driving improvements in code and SDLC practices.
- Champion quality assurance best practices within the QA team, fostering a culture of excellence.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- A minimum of 6 years of recent and relevant experience testing production software web applications, utilizing Selenium preferably with exposure to Pyramid, React, and Redux.
- Proficiency in testing backend systems through RESTful APIs.
- Extensive experience creating and maintaining automated tests using Python 3.x and Pytest, incorporating essential test framework design patterns, such as decorators, markers, fixtures, data classes/structures, reporting, and code coverage analysis.
- Experience integrating automated tests and reporting within CI/CD pipelines, with expertise in AWS CodeDeploy.
- Strong familiarity with AWS services, including CodeDeploy, S3, Elastic Search, Athena, Lambdas, CloudWatch, EC2, boto, and AWS CLI.
- Expertise in querying and manipulating data using relational and NoSQL databases.
- Familiarity with infrastructure as code tools, particularly Docker and Terraform.
- Experience building automated tests using Data Driven Testing (DDT)/Parametrize and X-Dist.
- Proficiency in using distributed version control systems, particularly Git.
- Outstanding communication and writing skills, enabling effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Proven ability to challenge the status quo, provide accurate QA estimates, and create comprehensive test matrices and cases, while identifying gaps in usability.
- Creative problem-solving skills for tackling complex test scenarios and user flows.
